We are Now an Official Data Provider for the UNESCO IOC Sea Level Monitoring Facility

First Radar Tide Gauge in Cyprus

As of July 7, 2023, we have become an official data provider for the UNESCO Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) Sea Level Monitoring Facility through our integrated Tide Gauge station in Limassol (LEME).

This is an important milestone in our ongoing mission to contribute to the understanding and monitoring of our planet’s oceans and contribute to the early warning of natural hazards, such as tsunamis and more. Providing accurate and up-to-date data to the IOC Sea Level Monitoring Facility will help increase our knowledge about sea-level changes and the global climate. Note that data transmission to IOC is carried out entirely through our in-house developed marine data platform.

The UNESCO Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) promotes international cooperation and coordinates programs in marine research, services, observation systems, hazard mitigation, and capacity development to understand and effectively manage the resources of the ocean and coastal areas. Becoming an official data provider for the IOC’s Sea Level Monitoring Facility proves the high-quality work our team delivers consistently. This development speaks volumes about our commitment to maintaining the highest geodesic research and data collection standards, demonstrating our continued dedication to scientific excellence.
